The Diamond-Colored Frog - Buran Story

The Diamond-Colored Frog

March 16, 2026

Long ago, deep within a forest, there was a clear river that sparkled like glass.
By that river lived a small, ordinary green frog named Kampong. Kampong wished he could have special powers like the magical creatures that roamed the forest.

One day, Kampong helped a tiny fish that was trapped between rocks and close to dying.
What Kampong didn’t know was that the fish was actually a magical spirit. Grateful for Kampong’s kindness, the fish said:

“Do not seek power and forget goodness. If you continue to do good, you will witness wonders far greater than magic.”

Kampong took the advice to heart and continued helping others:

— He freed a wild pup caught in a snare
— He rescued a bird that had fallen into the river
— He guided a lost baby jungle fowl out of the woods

As time passed, Kampong noticed that his skin began to change.
It was no longer plain green—it shimmered with a diamond-like glow whenever sunlight touched it.

One day, all the forest animals invited Kampong for help, for his diamond radiance could chase away darkness and bring peace and happiness.
They honored him not only for his glowing light but for his selfless kindness.

In the end, Kampong discovered that true power does not come from appearance or magical light.
It comes from genuine kindness done without expecting anything in return.

Moral of the Story

Even small acts of kindness can make you more extraordinary than any magical power.
True light comes from a generous heart.
