In a peaceful countryside village surrounded by golden rice fields, the harvest season was approaching. The villagers worked hard under the warm sun, but for many days, no rain had fallen.
The young rice plants began to droop.
The ground cracked from dryness.
The farmers worried quietly.
But one person never lost hope—
a cheerful girl named Kanha.
Every evening, she walked through the fields and spoke gently to the plants.
“Don’t worry,” she whispered.
“Rain will come. I believe in you.”
The breeze carried her kindness through the field.
🌦️ The Lonely Little Cloud
Far above the village floated a tiny raincloud named Rinthy.
He was the smallest cloud in the whole sky, hardly bigger than a pillow.
The bigger clouds laughed at him:
“You are too small to make real rain!”
Hurt and embarrassed, Rinthy hid behind the mountains, afraid to try.
But Kanha’s gentle voice drifted upward like a warm song, reaching even the hidden cloud.
“Rain will come… I believe in you.”
Rinthy peeked out from behind the mountain.
“She believes in… me?”
🌱 The Rice Spirit Awakens
One night, the Rice Spirit, a glowing figure woven from moonlight and grain, appeared before Kanha in a dream.
“Our fields are thirsty,” the spirit said softly.
“But a small cloud is listening to your kindness.”
“The little cloud?” Kanha asked.
“Yes,” the spirit nodded. “If you call to him, he will find his courage.”
🌧️ Calling the Rain
The next morning, Kanha climbed the hill beside the rice fields. She looked up at the sky and called softly but bravely:
“Little cloud! We believe in you! Please come! We need your rain!”
Hidden behind the mountain, Rinthy trembled.
“No one has ever asked for my help before…”
He floated out slowly, nervously wobbling across the sky.
The villagers looked up in surprise.
“It’s so small!”
“Will it make a difference?”
But Kanha smiled at him.
“You can do it.”
Rinthy puffed his tiny cloud cheeks…
gathered all his courage…
and released the softest, sweetest rain the village had ever felt.
The drops sparkled like silver pearls, falling gently over the dry fields.
The rice plants lifted their leaves in joy.
The ground drank eagerly.
The whole village cheered.
🌤️ A Cloud Gains Confidence
When Rinthy saw the plants come alive, he felt warm pride glowing inside him.
“I… I did it!” he shouted.
The Rice Spirit appeared above the field, bowing gracefully.
“You have given life,” it said. “Small courage can make great change.”
Rinthy puffed happily, growing just a little bit bigger.
Kanha laughed.
“You’re perfect just the way you are.”
From that day on, Rinthy visited the village often, sprinkling rain whenever the fields needed a little love.
🌱 Moral of the Story
You don’t have to be big to make a difference.
Even small courage can bring life, hope, and joy.
