Princess Golden Flower and the Kind Crocodile

March 16, 2026

Long ago, in a peaceful kingdom surrounded by green forests and flowing rivers, there lived a gentle and wise princess named Princess Golden Flower. She was known throughout the land for her warm smile and kind heart. Unlike other royals, she loved to walk among the villagers, listening to their stories, helping the poor, and caring for animals. The people admired her deeply and believed she was a blessing to the kingdom.

One bright morning, as the sun shimmered on the river’s surface, Princess Golden Flower wandered along the riverbank, enjoying the songs of birds and the cool breeze. Suddenly, she heard a faint cry for help. Curious and concerned, she followed the sound until she discovered a large crocodile trapped in a cruel hunter’s net. Its scales were scratched, and its eyes were filled with pain and fear. Although frightened at first, the princess saw suffering instead of danger.

With courage and compassion, Princess Golden Flower used a small knife to cut the ropes of the net. She gently cleaned the crocodile’s wounds using leaves and fresh water. The crocodile bowed its head and spoke softly, promising,

“Your kindness has saved my life. From this day forward, I will guard you as my own family.”

Days turned into months, and peace filled the kingdom—until one night, a dark cloud covered the moon. An evil sorcerer, jealous of the kingdom’s happiness, arrived to spread fear and darkness. He cast spells that frightened the villagers and tried to capture the princess to steal her golden crown, said to contain ancient magic.

When Princess Golden Flower was cornered near the river, hope seemed lost. Suddenly, the river began to churn. With a mighty splash, the kind crocodile emerged, roaring with strength and courage. It stood between the princess and the sorcerer, protecting her without hesitation. Terrified by the crocodile’s power and loyalty, the sorcerer fled into the dark forest and was never seen again.

The kingdom was saved. The villagers celebrated with joy, music, and lanterns lighting the night sky. Princess Golden Flower thanked the crocodile, and from that day on, the river was considered a sacred place of friendship and protection. The story of their bond was passed down from generation to generation as a reminder that true kindness creates powerful allies.

Moral of the story:
Kindness given with a pure heart will always return in unexpected ways.
