Long ago, in a quiet village at the edge of a silver forest, there lived a brave little girl named Lina. Though she was small and young, her heart was filled with courage and kindness. Lina lived with her grandmother, who often told stories about magical creatures that protected the forest. Among them was a legend about the Moon Deer, a glowing white deer said to appear only to those with pure hearts.
One night, the forest grew restless. Crops began to fail, and the river slowly dried up. The villagers believed the forest spirit was angry, but no one dared to enter the deep woods. Remembering her grandmother’s stories, Lina decided to find the Moon Deer and ask for help. Carrying only a lantern and her courage, she stepped into the forest under the light of the full moon.
Deep within the trees, Lina heard soft footsteps. Suddenly, a magnificent Moon Deer appeared, its antlers shining like silver and its eyes glowing gently. The deer spoke in a calm voice, telling Lina that the forest was losing its magic because people had forgotten to care for nature. Lina promised that the villagers would protect the forest, plant trees, and respect all living things.
Touched by her honesty, the Moon Deer struck the ground with its glowing hooves. Rain fell gently, the river flowed again, and flowers bloomed across the land. Before disappearing into the moonlight, the Moon Deer said,
“True bravery is protecting what you love.”
Lina returned home as a hero. The villagers kept their promise, and the forest flourished once more. From that day on, whenever the moon shone brightly, people believed the Moon Deer was watching over them.
Moral of the story:
Courage and respect for nature bring harmony to the world.
